Oculus POS

Transaction Junctions makes use of the Postilion eSocket.POS application to operate on each individual Point of Sale or electronic cash register or store server in order to provide electronic funds transfer (EFT) services to group stores and multi lane retailers requiring an integrated POS payments and Value added services solution. eSocket.POS operating on the point of sale also manages peripherial devices like slip printers and PIN pads, and combined with the TJeXe, allows for effortless integration management and flexibility to adjust for business rules while minimising impact to the POS and eSocket.POS.
Oculus POS (Point of Sale) relates to and can be divided into the integration and/or management of the EFT POS system.

OCULUS POS MANAGEMENT

Oculus POS Management allows for the management of EFT POS functions. This product provides for better visibility and availability, thus empowering our clients with regards to their EFT POS status. The result is that a proactive approach to problems arising within the EFT POS can be taken before the problem affects your customers.

Transaction Junction utilises an in-house developed information gathering engine known as Phema. Examples of some of the capabilities are:

• Event log collection
• SQL query results
• File downloading
• Service availability (whether a service is running)
• Start services
• Obtain file attributes (such as creation date, file size etc.)
• Search for files, using wildcards
• Performance counter collection
• Connect to sockets and send data on them
• Check network availability of the eSocket.POS

Configuration of card-related parameters (e.g. BIN tables, stand-in limits, transaction types allowed on cards etc.) are facilitated by a unique software tool developed by Transaction Junction.

OCULUS POS INTEGRATION

The TJeXe allows for a customisable EFT POS solution that supports the unique needs of our customers. The TJeXe can best be described as an independent layer functioning between the POS application and the eSocket.POS application.

This integration product is exclusive to Transaction Junction.

The benefits of TJeXe is listed below, but in essence - remote management and monitoring is now possible, saving in costly store visits.

• Little or no effort from the POS vendor, as TJeXe can conform to virtually any interface
• Little or no effort from Postilion, as TJeXe performs the integration to the POS
• Little or no dependence on the vendors for the retailer, as TJeXe can absorb interface changes from either party without affecting the other
• Enhanced POS management using other Transaction Junction products
• Ability to cater for business rules not catered for in the POS and/or eSocket.POS
